About Laura

Industrial Engineer, on a sabbatical for now. My most rewarding job is being a full time mother of a 15 year old and a 17 year old. But I am also a Yoga instructor and Flamenco dancer.
I have been teaching yoga for 11 years, but discovered the practice 15 years ago, as a recommendation from my doctor, for pregnancy, and later on for life.
I faced post partum depression 2 times and yoga was one of the main tools to help me.
I understood with studies, self practice and research the importance of the practice of yoga and its impact on any human being. Yoga is no longer considered a solely "holistic" approach, and the benefits and impact it has on people suffering with mental heath conditions, and well-being, is one I have personally witnessed.
As my children grew older, and facing the COVID era, I have been highlighting the importance of this practice to teens, as well as adults, to help them manage anxiety, stress and depression.
The mindfulness behind the movement and practice, the breath work and meditation have been an important part of my teaching practices with my students.
Yoga has been an integral part of my life and will continue on this path to help others reap the benefits of this ancient practice.
My goal when teaching new and experienced yogi's is to learn to live mindfully, with intention, manage stress, anxiety, and plant the seed of yoga and make it part of their life.
I want to help others to understand their bodies, give them a tool for life within a daily practice.
Also, teach them to use the breath to calm the mind, and that Yoga is for everyBody.
